ASSISTANT FACTORY MANAGER
Our client in the Packaging Industry seeks to hire for the role of Assistant Factory Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in manufacturing as Assistant Factory Manager or Production Manager.
- 15+ years of experience working with machinery from companies such as Husky, Ferromatik, ASB, Netstal, Sidel, Sacmi IPS, and CCM.
- Hands-on experience with electrical and hydraulic maintenance on IM, SBM, IBM, EBM machines.
- Project management experience with chiller, compressor, and generator installation.
Key responsibilities includes:
- Develop strategic plans for factory development in alignment with the company’s vision and business plan.
- Ensure smooth and efficient factory operations through effective workforce planning and management.
- Calculate and optimize factory capacity levels to meet production output requirements while minimizing costs.
- Implement modern techniques and machinery to mechanize processes and increase efficiency.
- Ensure on-time delivery of orders and maintain high-quality product standards through daily cost analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and address risks and issues in the factory, implementing proper solutions to mitigate them.
- Coordinate with all departments to facilitate smooth operation and development.
- Utilize workforce efficiently and ensure compliance with company regulations and productivity standards.
- Establish career paths for staff and provide necessary training and coaching to enhance skills and performance.
- Design incentive schemes to boost productivity and motivation among the workforce.
- Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and organization on the factory floor, adhering to health and safety policies and implementing Kaizen and 5S systems.
- Exercise strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills to effectively plan, direct, and coordinate production activities and resources.
- Manage recruitment and manpower replacement according to labor laws and company procedures.
- Review and revise production systems regularly to optimize results.
- Oversee spare parts management and control, ensuring availability as needed.
- Implement continuous improvement plans focused on reducing product cycle time, conserving power, enhancing safety, implementing cost-cutting measures, and conducting TPM activities.
