Key Requirements

• HND/B.Sc. Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal audit, preferably in the retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual audit plan aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with senior management to identify audit priorities and allocate resources effectively.
• Lead a team of internal auditors to conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
• Evaluate and improve internal controls related to cash handling, inventory management, and sales transactions.
• Ensure all audits adhere to professional standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor adherence to company policies and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with management to resolve audit findings and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, serving as an advisor on audit matters.
