Our client in the IT Industry is looking to fill the role of Chief Technical Officer.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in the IT field.
- Expertise in software tools, source code control, big data, and tech.
- Extensive background in cybersecurity, coding best practices, and pen testing.
- Proficiency in cloud tech, software architecture, and DB management.
- Ability to work within local and international (project/virtual) teams.
- A Master’s Degree in a related field is an added advantage.
- Lead the technical team in software design, development, testing, implementation, integration and support.
- Take executive decisions with Management in terms of the company’s technological requirements.
- Responsible for the company’s IT infrastructure as well as licensing.
- Responsible for the company’s relationship with OEMs and other software providers.
- Stay on top of technology trends and developments.
- Support the sales team in the technical sales process by ensuring that the company’s technical resources are adequate and available for demos and presentations.
- Ensure that technical resources meet the company’s short and long-term needs.
- Define the goals for research and development and implement them.
- Create timelines for the development and deployment of all services.
- Supervise the support function of the company for solutions delivered to customers within set SLAs, to fulfill contractual obligations and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a consumer-focused outlook and drive the delivery of the company’s IT projects to the market.
- Manage technology budgets and timeframes.
- Engage with the Executive Management with value propositions to drive the development of the company’s IT footprint on its market.
- Provide technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, during and after the sale.
- Network with existing customers and other IT experts to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades.
- Manage own diary to organize and prioritize monthly, weekly and daily goals.
- Actively contributing to regular and ad-hoc meetings and updating Executive Management.
- Identify opportunities across the industries covered and prioritize among them to achieve the best results.
- Act as a leader, manager and mentor to technical team members.
