Our client a manufacturing company seeks to hire a Distillation Control Room or DCS Operator
Requirements:
- B.Sc or HND in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in Distillery /Sugar/ Manufacturing.
- To operate and maintain the facilities in the Control Room and/or field, through established Procedures in order to produce power and steam safely, efficiently, and within strict environmental limits.
- Routine Maintenance operations as per the Preventive maintenance plan
- Support to Training need related to Boiler / Turbine operations
- Monitoring the Safety conditions and corrective/preventive actions
- Operate and monitor all equipment on the Boilers, Turbine/Generator, Steam System, and Water System. Perform all the duties in the control room and maintain proper water chemistry.
- Perform other duties as outlined by the supervisor or lead person and relieve the DCS operator during break periods.
- Know how to start and stop boilers and the turbine/generators in a safe and efficient manner and bring them on and offline.
- Maintain the determined electrical production output
- Control and operate any piece of equipment in the power plant (both manual and remote)
- Regularly monitor the plant’s Air Quality and take corrective action to prevent violations
- Execution of Scheduled Preventive maintenance as per timelines.
- Monitor and maintain records for scheduled, preventive, and breakdown Mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions and comply with directives.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
