Our client, a reputable IT company seeks to hire an experienced Linux Administrator.

Requirements:

• 3 – 5 years of previous working experience as a Linux Administrator
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar relevant degree.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, and other Linux experience, etc.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB.
• Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts.
• Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting.
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure components in a virtualized Linux Environment.
• Plan and deploy migration of applications from Solaris to Linux.
• Fully manage the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all aspects of Linux servers.
• Knowledge of Data Storage Technologies such as NAS or SAN.
• Provide direct mission support in a classified and unclassified Linux desktop and server environment.
• Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts on Linux and Windows servers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve failed processes on DASD, Hadoop, Isilon, Linux, SQL Server, & Windows.
• Write and troubleshoot Windows and Linux Shell Scripts.
