Our client, a reputable leader in the Agricultural sector, is looking to recruit a skilled Distillation- Dcs Operator.

Key Requirements

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the Distillery, Sugar, or Manufacturing industries
• Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems, including PLC and SCADA systems
• Ability to analyse process data and recommend adjustments to optimize operations
• Certifications in Boiler/Turbine operations, Industrial Safety, or Process Control

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Boilers, Turbines/Generators, Steam and Water Systems from the Control Room
• Start and stop boilers and turbine/generators safely and efficiently
• Maintain water chemistry and air quality within prescribed limits
• Execute routine and scheduled preventive maintenance as per the maintenance plan
• Maintain records for all types of maintenance (scheduled, preventive, and breakdown)
• Monitor safety conditions and take corrective or preventive actions
• Ensure environmental compliance and avoid air quality violations
• Support training related to Boiler and Turbine operations
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Take on additional duties as assigned by supervisors
• Identify and respond to equipment malfunctions or abnormal operating conditions, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt corrective action.
• Liaise with maintenance personnel during equipment repairs or shutdowns to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Accurately document plant operating parameters, shift logs, incidents, and any irregularities for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Engage in scheduled emergency response drills to maintain readiness and contribute to continuous improvement in safety procedures.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance plant operations' efficiency, safety, and reliability.
