Our client in the Manufacturing sector seeks to hire for the role of  PET Collection Manager.

Requirements:

• HND/BSc in Environmental Science, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in waste management, PET recycling, logistics, or similar industries, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of local environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Certification in waste management or environmental sustainability is an added advantage.
• Proven ability to manage teams, processes, and partnerships effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
• Passionate about recycling, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead the collection of PET materials across various regions, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance.
• Develop and implement strategic collection plans and schedules to guarantee timely and effective pickups.
• Monitor the quantity, quality, and consistency of collected PET materials to align with company standards and market demands.
• Ensure proper handling, transportation, and storage of PET materials to prevent contamination and optimize recycling quality.
• Lead and manage relationships with key collection points, local businesses, communities, and recycling centers.
• Provide high-level support and guidance to collection partners to improve their collection processes and foster long-term relationships.
• Address and resolve any high-level issues or concerns raised by collection partners, ensuring seamless operations.
• Oversee data management systems, ensuring accurate records of collection activities, including quantities collected and transportation details.
• Drive community engagement initiatives, educating the public on the importance of PET recycling and sustainable practices.
• Organize and lead community events and campaigns to raise awareness and promote PET collection efforts.
• Collaborate with local authorities and environmental organizations to support and expand sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and internal policies regarding PET collection and recycling.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular audits and training sessions for collection teams.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to guarantee that all operations meet industry best practices and safety standards.
• Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of collection operations.
• Introduce innovative practices and technologies to optimize PET collection and support broader organizational sustainability goals.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of collection activities with broader company strategies and objectives.
