Our client in the Manufacturing sector seeks to hire for the role of a Export Officer.  

Requirements:

• HND/BSC in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in export documentation and logistics.
• In-depth understanding of export procedures, including Nigerian export regulations, customs processes, and HS Codes.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with shipping lines, government agencies, and internal teams.
• Ability to travel to and from the ports as part of routine fieldwork.
• Professional certification in export management is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle export documentation such as NXP, NESS payment, Certificate of Origin (COO), ECOWAS Certificate of Movement, Customs Inspection, etc.
• Source competitive rates from shipping lines.
• Arrange and confirm bookings for export containers.
• Secure empty containers from shipping lines for export.
• Develop and grow export business opportunities, including applying for government grants and incentives.
• Ensure that all necessary export permits and licenses are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Schedule and coordinate inspections with export supervising agencies such as NERO Tech and NACCIMA.
• Oversee the loading of export containers and ensure their monitoring through to vessel sailing.
• Submit and maintain all necessary export documents and receipts for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
• Keep the management informed about Nigeria's export market trends, policies, and any regulatory updates.
• Possess a solid understanding of the Harmonized System (HS) Codes used in export declarations and customs processing.
• Manage and optimize export operation expenses for 20ft, 40ft containers, and road deliveries.
