Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is looking to fill the role of Factory Manager to manage its day to day operational & Strategic needs Job Qualifications
  • HND/BSC in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional qualifications in Business Management are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within rPET or Plastic Manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and lead projects effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of the RPET recycling process, including sorting, washing, SSP, and reforming.
  • Proficiency in process optimization techniques such as OEE, 5S, and SMED.
  • Expertise in quality management and implementation of CAPA (Process Capability Performance Index).
  • Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial analysis to improve cost-per-unit metrics.
  • Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to the recycling and manufacturing of PET materials.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of market dynamics and customer needs specific to the RPET industry.
  Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the recycling plant, ensuring that production targets and KPIs are met.
  • Manage the entire RPET production process, from sorting and washing to SSP and reforming.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all departments.
  • Drive process efficiency through optimization initiatives like OEE, 5S, and SMED.
  • Continuously improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce downtime
  • Implement and oversee robust quality management systems to ensure product consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and ensure **compliance** with industry standards.
  • Manage plant budgets, with a focus on cost reduction and improving cost per unit.
  • Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Promote a sustainable operation with minimal environmental impact and energy efficiency.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
  • Encourage innovation in all areas of the plant, driving new ideas and improvement projects.
  • Ensure timely production and delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
