Our client in the Consumer Electronics Industry is looking to fill the role of Senior Accountant Job Requirement

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant.
• At least 6 years post induction work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Orion) and MS Office Suite.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations, with a strong understanding of Nigerian GAAP.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in the Electronics or FMCG industry is a plus.

Job Description

• Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the manufacturing process.
•  Manage inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory counts.
• Assist in the development of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including GAAP standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Continuously assess accounting processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to support operational decision-making and drive business results.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and capital projects within the manufacturing division.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any audit findings related to manufacturing operations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff within the manufacturing division, fostering their professional development and growth.
