Our client, a manufacturing company seeks to hire for the role of Shift Chemist.
Requirements:
- Bachelor / Master’s Degree in sciences with DIFAT (Diploma in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology) or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 Years of experience in the Distillery Industry as a Shift in charge.
- Superior knowledge of the operating principles of Distillation, fermentation and machinery used in the Distillery plant.
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions and comply with directives.
- Verify raw materials (like Yeast, enzymes, nutrients and chemicals etc…) availability, Equipment readiness, Utilities, Personal Protective Equipments for Hygiene practices, manpower availability based on the production plan and take corrective actions as required.
- Monitoring of production process operating parameters, In process Quality parameters of the product, and process water consumption on a shift basis.
- Supervise the production processing activities from raw material processing to the production of the final product of the plant.
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed and compliance is maintained as required.
- Coordinate with the cross-functional department for materials and process requirements to achieve the budget plan.
