Our client in the Agro Industry seeks to hire for the role of Procurement/Field Officer.

Job Requirements:

  • B.Sc. degree/HND/OND in supply chain or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience as a procurement Officer in agricultural commodities.
  • Proficiency in vendor relations, quality control management, and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to work effectively with suppliers, farmers, and laborers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Willingness to travel on official duties.

Key responsibilities includes:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Coordinate logistics for cost-effective distribution of commodities
  • Analyze market trends and report findings to management
  • Manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance
  • Optimize procurement processes to reduce costs and increase value
  • Ensure timely delivery of commodities meeting quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify cost reduction opportunities.
