Our client, a manufacturing company seeks to hire for the role of Shift Engineer.

Requirements:

  • BSc or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience in distillery/ sugar/ power plant.
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions and comply with directives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Cogen is operated in a safe, efficient, and economical manner, and in compliance with the air permit.
  • Supervise all aspects of the Cogen operations during assigned shifts and effectively provide direction to lower-level plant operators.
  • Prepare breakdowns and downtimes, to identify the root cause and implement the CAPA to avoid the recurrence.
  • Superior knowledge of the operating principles of equipment and machinery used in the power plant.
  • Raise the PR for Spares and follow-up with stores department and address deviation and change control effectively, working with cross-functional team
  • Perform and evaluate water analysis tests and the proper treatment of boiler water.
