Our client, a manufacturing firm seeks to hire for the role of an Instrumentation-in-Charge Officer.

Requirements:

  • BSC or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in E and I Maintenance and Operation.
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions and comply with directives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the plan, and scope and lead the execution of shutdown works for instrumentation to ensure completion within the specified window.
  • Forecast and prepare a budget for instrument-related activities i.e. maintenance, shutdown, and project for consolidation into the department’s yearly Work Program and Budget (WPB). Monitor budget utilization closely and provide justification for a variance.
  • Review of annual instrumentation calibration, repairs, and, maintenance budget for plant operation; safety conditions and corrective/preventive actions; root cause analysis of Instrumentation breakdown.
  • Provide technical advice during troubleshooting and corrective action of instrument breakdown or failures to find the root cause and best solution in order to restore the functionality back to normal.
  • Attend to technical queries by operation personnel and provide advice/solutions according to best engineering practices to address issues, which affect the operation.
  • Monitor spare parts and inventory for critical instrumentation to ensure availability when required in order to minimise production interruption. Establish new inventory/cataloging where necessary. Update information in the inventory to ensure it is relevant for the current operation.
